Detox Your System With Healthy Fruit Smoothies
In this modern world that we live in, cleansing the body is crucial if you want to live healthier and longer. We may not be aware of the fact, but we are putting a lot of toxins in our bodies with our choices of food and our unhealthy lifestyle. What you need:
Six strawberries
Half a cup pineapple chunks
Half a cup grapefruit juice
One fourth cup water
Four ice cubes
One to two tablespoons psyllium husk powder
Blend all the ingredients well until smooth.
CANTALOUPE TUMMY CLEANSER
I also place my confidence in this highly potent concoction. This one contains the powerful combination of yogurt, flaxseed, probiotic acidophilus which promotes better digestion.
What you need:
One cup cantaloupe, peeled and cubed
One cup steamed sweet potato, peeled and cubed
Half a cup low-fat plain yogurt
Distilled water
One tablespoon flaxseed powder
Probiotic acidophilus (check the label for dosage)
First, blend in the cantaloupe, sweet potato and yogurt until smooth. Add water to control consistency. Add flaxseed powder and probiotic acidophilus. Blend thoroughly until smooth.
BERRY CLEAN
Berries provide an excellent source of fiber and they also have effective antioxidant properties.
What you need:
One cup strawberries (stemmed and halved)
One cup blueberries
One cup blackberries
One cup low-fat vanilla soymilk
Half a cup low-fat vanilla yogurt
Three ice cubes
Combine all the ingredients and blend thoroughly until smooth. If you prefer your smoothie a bit sweeter, you can add an all natural sweetener like stevia or organic honey.
